| "Jake" Speers president of Spirit-Eagles, has a life-long connection with field hockey, starting as captain of the Queens University team in Belfast, Northern Ireland. In this country he maintained his interest in the sport with the 9-time American League champion club, North Jersey, and was also invited to join the exclusive "Privateers" club...the famous U.S. touring hockey club. During his time with the Privateers, as aprominent participant in the Eisenhower adminstrations "People to People" sports program, he was invited to Gettysburg, Pa., where he was introduced to former U.S president Eisenhower. Jakes role with the Spirit-Eagles is advisory. His observations and comments at the training sessions are designed to improve the abilities of the individual players, and to this effect he frequently participates in the training scrimmages. He is a long-term supporter of the field hockey and soccer programs of Drew University, Madison, N.J., and is being inducted into the Athletic Departments "Hall of Fame" this fall. |
Dennis Lallo is a former player on the Jamaican U21 National Team. He played in the first ever Pan American Junior World Cup qualifier in Mexico City in 1978. He later played on the men's Jamaican National Team. More recently, he has played on the Tri-State Falcons when then won the NEFHA League Championship and represented the US in the first ever Pan-American Club Championship. In 2003, he was on the Mixed Team that won the gold medal at the National Hockey Festival. Dennis continues to play field hockey whenever he's not coaching. |
| Randy Christie started playing field hockey while attending high school in Jamaica. He was first selected to the Junior National Team and played in the Junior Pan Am games in 1988. Randy was selected to the National Team but later decided to migrate to the US. After moving to the US, Randy played on the Tri-State Falcons team. As a member of Tri-State, he won seven NEFHA League Championships, eight playoff championships and won six tournament cup championships. Randy also played in the inaugural Pan American Club Championship in Jamaica. He was selected to the US Men's National Team in 1997 and played in the Pan Am Games in Winnipeg, Canada in 1999. Randy started coaching in 1997 and is currently the head coach for the New York Islanders Ladies Field Hockey Club. In 2005, his NYI Ladies team won the JFK Memorial Tournament. In addition, as the coach of the Spirit Eagles U19 team, he won the 2005 Big Apple Memorial Day Tournament. |
Steve Wagner was a goalie on the US Men's Field Hockey team member for 10 years. He represented the US at the 1996 Olympics and participated in the 1991 and 1995 Pan American Games winning bronze medals. He was selected as the Men's Field Hockey Athlete of the year in 1989. Steve has a degree in Exercise Physiology and is also a Certified Personal Trainer.

Alicia Fruscione was a member of Spirit Eagles from 1995-1998. During that period, she was on numerous championship teams, including three National Hockey Festival championship teams and two National Indoor Championships teams. While at Princeton University, she was a coach with Spirit Eagles. Alicia coached the undefeated Spirit Eagles Blue team in the 2005 Hockey Festival. |
Clarissa Sacco is a former member of the New Jersey Women's Field Hockey Team (1972-1975). She has coached numerous sports teams (soccer, softball and field hockey) for the Harding and Madison Recreation Programs. More recently, Clarissa has focused on field hockey as a parent of a Division 1 player. As a "student" of the game, Clarissa has attended hundreds of national and international field hockey games at all levels. In addtion to coaching field hockey, Clarissa is pursuing her certificate in the National Youth in Sports Coaches Association. |
| Nick Bayvel is a recipient of our coaches MVP award. He hails from the prominent S. African leagues played representative Rugby and captained University and Provincial teams. Nick was also a trainer and player with the adult teams. |
| Rawle Cox was a member of the US Men's Field Hockey team and played in the 1984 Olympics. He represented the US at many international tournaments. |
Gia Fruscione played at and lead Princeton into 2 final fours as Goalkeeper. She has also played in the Junior World Cup for the USA U-21. |
